What is RSS?

Really Simple Syndication (RSS) is a convenient way to monitor new web pages. RSS highlights new material so you don’t have to constantly check our web site. When new information appears on JPMartin, our RSS feeds will be updated and your RSS reader will alert you of the new material. See the following video to understand RSS in plain English:

Which RSS/Feed/News Reader do I chose?

If you are new to RSS or a first time subscriber, may I recommend Google Reader. After copying a RSS shortcut link from the orange button or XML button, click “Add content” or “Personalize your Google homepage” on your Google homepage. Click “Create a Section” in the list that appears and a text box will be displayed for you to “enter a feed.” Paste your RSS shortcut into the text box and click “Go.” You can drag and drop to rearrange your Google page. Once you’ve setup a RSS/Feed/News reader, you can subscribe to the JPMartin RSS feeds in a few different ways:

• Drag the orange into your Feed Reader
• Drag the URL of the RSS feed into your Feed Reader
• Cut and paste the URL of the RSS feed into your Feed Reader: http://feeds.feedburner.com/jpm

Simply add it to your feed reader and you’ll get notification every time something new is published on www.jpmartin.com. Feedburner provides a single daily email with excerpts of our recent posts. Your details will be kept private and not used for any other purposes than this service. You will be able to unsubscribe at any time. Simply type in your email address on the right and click “add me”.

Check Your Feed/News Reader Regularly!

Now that you have the JPMartin feed, as well as any others you’ve subscribed to, you can simply check your feed reader regularly to see if any of the sites have been updated. You won’t have to visit each site every single time because the feed reader does that work for you!
